Eric Neilsen - Musician = French Horn, Trombone and Trumpet

After a nearly 35 year lay off from serious music playing, I started performing on the french horn with several groups again in the fall of 2017. I had started my musical playing on a trumpet and switched to horn in 7th grade. Trombone has slowly been added since 2018.

Beginning in March of 2022 the Lakes Region Quintet is forming and will target the Summer of 2022 for preformances. We are Alice Woods on Flute, Eric Neilsen on French Horn, Nan Dubin on Bassoon, Gary E on Clarinet and Nancy Luzer on Oboe. We perform chamber and contemporary quintets.

Middlebury Winds

This group practices at the local high school and plays two concerts a year. The pandemic has halted playing but we're hopeful that the Fall of 2022 will signal the return of playing.

Green Mountain Horn Club

Green Mountain Horn Club is loose group of horn players throughout Vermont. We occasionally get together and play in groups of 5 to 20 players. Due to the pandemic, the Green Mountain Horns had taken a slight break from getting together.

Green Mountain College / Community Band

GMC opened up it's music program to community members as well and runs a program for students as well as qualified community members. We rehearsed during the college's academic year and perform several times a year. Unfortunately Green Mountain had to shut it's doors and sell off the assest. There may be some activity at the campus but it's not what it was.
